141. lightness of being

“The heaviest of burdens is therefore simultaneously an image of life’s most intense fulfillment.

…What then shall we choose? Weight or lightness?”

-Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being

Took a short detour to the after-dark playground just to sit on the swings, which creaked so bad I felt like a scene in a horror movie. Then again I really prefer being here when its dark!
I have this thing for carousels, swings and just about any ride that moves in rhythm or never seems to stop unless you will it to.

After much thought, sunshine and rainbows are really not my thing…

"Do you see the story? Do you see anything?... It seems to me I am trying to tell you a dream - making a vain attempt, because no relation of a dream can convey the dream sensation... No, it is impossible; it is impossible to convey the life-sensation of any given epoch of one's existence - that which makes its truth, its meaning - its subtle and penetrating essence. It is impossible. We live, as we dream - alone." Marlow in Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad.
