1. Check That Expiry!

Don’t be afraid to throw out unfinished products that have been around longer than you can remember! Skincare products (serum, lotion, face cream) are typically good for 1 to 2 years upon unboxing. As for makeup, the shelf-life depends on the nature of product. Throw out mascaras after 3 months of use, lipsticks after a year, and compact foundations after 2 years or more. A good rule of thumb to follow before purchasing full-sized skincare products is to test out miniatures, before deciding if you would use the product often on a long term basis.
