Memories aren’t created to be tossed aside or fed to the wind.
Most unfortunately whoever created Man didn’t engineer our brains to work as per a shredder does –
feed it in, tear it apart,
then proceed to expel the remnants.
Letting go takes tremendous practice –
a dab of ignorance, a handful of shrugs,
closed eyes, uncountable sighs
and a whole lot of pretense.
Until it doesn’t hurt to think of it anymore.
Till then, perhaps I’ll simply look away.

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR, lovelies.
It’s the long weekend break,
and I’m granted freedom from le tight chignon + makeup nothing short of 3 inches thick.
Plus my nails aren’t fire-truck red, they’re finally dark blue!!
And since it’s the Lunar New Year…
hello neverending goodies!!
I have missed pineapple tarts so much.
But I swear barbecued pork (BAKKWA) was never so hard and tough!!
Either my teeth and gums have been weakened by lack of calcium,
or it’s a trend to make them taste like glazed red-brick tiles.
Spent much of my weekend catching up on lost sleep,
studying for examinations (yes, feels like I’m back in university),
eating and dancing.
Life’s good again.
Super worried yet excited for Shanghai layover…
The last and only time I’d been there was with my primary school…
for an exchange programme.
it’s gonna be so different this time round!
Not too far from my dream destinations now, I believe!
The Eiffel sketch at Holland Village.
Pretty…but I’ve seen better!!
Back to studying…
Ciao
“Where would you like to go, what would you really like to do with your life?
See Istanbul, Port Said, Nairobi, Budapest. Write a book.
Smoke too many cigarettes.
Fall off a cliff but get caught in a tree halfway down.
Get shot at a few times in a dark alley on a Morrocan midnight.
Love a beautiful woman.”
