Perth – May’13

Aye aye captain,
mission accomplished over the South Atlantic Ocean.
Agent Yujin reporting,
Over and out!

Out in the city of Perth aiming my camera at random
and snapping the most mundane shots
while sourcing out cafes in the area.
A very mind-clearing journey on foot, I have to say.
Australia has got some hidden beauty in every street.
The glare of the sun ain’t piercing because the weather’s so fine

Across the street from Pan Pacific Perth where we were staying…is Novotel Perth.DSCN1053 DSCN1054 DSCN1055 DSCN1056
The sky in mid-afternoon.
Insanely well-defined clouds.DSCN1057 DSCN1058
Don’t ask me why I snapped photographs of bins.
They’re blue with red lids, ’nuff said.DSCN1059 DSCN1060 DSCN1061 DSCN1062 DSCN1063 DSCN1064 DSCN1065 DSCN1066 DSCN1067 DSCN1068
Best cappucino, anyone?DSCN1069 DSCN1070 DSCN1071 DSCN1072
Yes I bought these!! And ate it immediately.
How not to be a glutton in the land of fine chocolates?DSCN1073
I plead guilty.IMG_8875  DSCN1075 DSCN1076 DSCN1077 DSCN1078 DSCN1079 DSCN1080

Yes I’m still oogling at the clouds!DSCN1087 DSCN1088

Big cars like Range Rovers and Hummers,
gotta love them!DSCN1089 DSCN1090 DSCN1091 IMG_8880

Okay most hilarious sight…why do these signs exist?
I sent a good 5 minutes contemplating what message lies behind the sign.
Still came up with nothing.
Really, it just tells you to go left?IMG_8881  DSCN1097
Got my lunch-to-go from Miss Maud’s Smorgasbord Restaurant!DSCN1100
Mandatory pastry shot.IMG_8883 DSCN1104 DSCN1105

Pastries…AND pastel pink architecture.
Quaint and very pretty!DSCN1108
Loving this classical building which houses the Allgem Jewellers,
an old boutique watch shop in the Hay Street region.DSCN1111
Famous Piccadilly Cinemas.DSCN1113

What I’m always attracted to 🙂
This bookstore has my name written on it!DSCN1116 DSCN1119
Got my coffee fix from this juice store which combined coffee in a smoothie mix.
Frothy, creamy, and caffeinated.
What more can one ask for?DSCN1121 DSCN1124
My coffee smoothie!DSCN1126

Grafitti is huge in Australia,
very artistic creations at that.DSCN1131 DSCN1133 DSCN1134 DSCN1135 DSCN1137
Supermarkets are at the top of my ‘places-to-go’ list
in every city.
This one was insanely well-stocked.DSCN1143 DSCN1144 DSCN1145
Everyone HAS to get Smiths and RedRock Deli chips in Perth!
Soooo good you won’t stop eating till you realize the whole packet has been polished off.

Walked to the coastline after the supermarket trip,
and found Cirque du Soleil which had pitched in 2013. Next stop, Italy.
They’re staging OVO, an insect-related show.IMG_8885

More cirque du Soleil.DSCN1147 DSCN1148
The grass is greener on your side.
Fall in love with it.DSCN1150 DSCN1153 DSCN1154
AND…trudging my way back to the hotel after a long journey on foot.
Was it 6hours?
That and I practically walked to Perth.
So that was some crazy workout.DSCN1155 DSCN1157
Walking burnt off all calories
thus it’s perfectly reasonable to eat a whole bag of chips 😛IMG_8889
Goodbye Australia.
I know I’ll see you again very soon.DSCN1165 DSCN1166
Ate this from the hotel minibar. THE WHOLE BAG.
I’M BECOMING A FULLTIME GLUTTON
And helluva loving it.IMG_8907
Trick of the light.
Ciao.
