Raiding the local supermarkets is a no-go action in Japan!
So well-stocked such that the food&beverage galore
is every Japan-enthusiast’s worst nightmare…
you’ll wanna cram the entire store into your baggage home.
Yummiest kitkat ever! Even better than Matcha in my opinion 🙂
Or perhaps I was just ravenously hungry.
Tada!! Pink!:D
It was sooo cold at 8am in the morning
The welcoming sight of the Rainbow bridge from some distance away.
The mall nearest to our hotel at Grand Pacific Le Daiba.
Does this feel like New York to you?
Felt as though I got transported away in the instant.
That is the Odaiba Statue of Liberty,
or rather they call the place the Gate of GoddessÂ
Shelf-full of Onigiris and takeaway sushis
Minerals, juices and sake
My favourite pastry shelf! The waffles are amazingly good…
Personal favourite…
Doraemon’s all time favourite snack: the Dorayaki
Red bean fillings 😀 *melts* I can die a happy girl.

The original Cat Cafe in Odaiba! Â
As usual, I was cafe-hunting and found several owned by foreigners
retaining much of their own country flavours while adapting to Japan’s ‘fast-food’ concept.
Even the wines are served on-the-go.
Diver City! A newer mall quite a walk away from Grand Pacific
but since I was awake (though totally shagged out to the max)
I made my way there on foot and watched the stores open.
The amazing thing is…all the stores open at 10am on the dot.
There are security members on the handsets who give the ‘go’ command
and all of a sudden the entire mall comes to life with music
and you hear “OHAYO GOZAIMASU!!” all around you.
Customers feel like they’re the most important person,
and because everybody greets everybody with a smile,
you’ll feel naturally inclined to smile right back.
Love the culture.
By far the cutest store I’ve seen!
Poke-ball sushi mascot to draw the crowd in.
Baskin Robbins!! But I was too full for ice-cream
Arcade and entertainment centre where kids and teenagers spend after-school hours.
Had this for dessert. The crepe was soft, and very unlike the ones I ate in Ion Orchard before it closed down.
There’s a reason the Japanese do their crepes better!
It’s less oily, definitely.
Best caramel cafe latte smoothie I’ve had…in my life.
Calbee Store…where they have dine-in options with coffee, potato snacks…
and basically you can eat their products within the store.
Fascinating.
Pocky fans beware!! Legit Glico store.
If I were 3 years younger I’d go crazy over this.
Now for the popular local snacks catered as souvenirs for the tourists
GUNDAM EXPO!
Not a fan but TOTALLY IMPRESSED!!
This machine moves and acts out an entire battle sequence according to the screen behind it
which flashes a fighting scene and such.
Could still see the Freedom Goddess from Diver City.
At this point I went back to the hotel to finally catch some sleep before heading out again in the evening.
Vintage Museums within Aqua City.
